Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The contributions you will make: This position is responsible for the development and improvement of business intelligence reports and analytical support that help drive operational performance and decision-making. Delivers key insights on trends and data relationships to assist with business planning and decision support for the Lending Operations teams.
A typical day:
Reporting
- Works closely with Lending Operations management to understand and maintain focus on specific data needs, including identifying key metrics and delivering actionable analysis.
- Develops and supports data analysis frameworks that will support daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting for all functional teams.
- Constructs reports utilizing Power BI, SalesForce and SQL to drive insight for lending operations leadership.
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate business data to identify actionable insights, and implement recommendations that drive measurable improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Leverages the data warehouse for reporting and serves as the Lending Operations liaison with the data management team.
- Works with multiple areas of the business to ensure data accuracy and troubleshoot issues.
- Works with the enterprise database team to ensure data is accurate and liaises with technical teams to close the gap on data quality and enhance portfolio of data available.
- Develop automated reporting packages to run efficiently on a recurring basis, including maintenance and storage of reporting output.
Forecasting and Planning
- Acts as a liaison with stakeholders to understand forecasting models to predict demand, resource allocation and operational capacity.
- Collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to align forecasts with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
- Utilizes all business intelligence tools and drives consistent usage and understanding of report delivery tools to identify risks and opportunities to facilitate positive business and operational results.
Data Analytics and Optimization
- Implements reporting and operating cadence to measure and monitor all facets of Lending Operations.
- Proactively analyzes data to answer key questions from Lending Operations leadership and to determine what drives performance.
- Uses data to create reports and insights, recommending practical solutions to help leadership make effective operational and strategic decisions.
- Analyzes key performance indicators to measure productivity and prepare reporting packages based on monthly and quarterly results.
- Performs ad-hoc analysis of quantitative and qualitative data sources to identify opportunities for process improvements, resource management and efficiency gains.
- Performs ongoing assessment of analytics tools and dashboards to assess usability, efficacy and adoption based on user.
- Synthesizes data to provide leaders with actionable insights for strategy input.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Bachelor's degree in agribusiness, business administration, mathematics, economics, statistics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Intermediate-level analytical experience, preferably in business operations and/or finance.
- Experience using Power BI software and knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in finance, analytics, sales ops or other related fields. SaaS experience.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong knowledge of data mining, evaluation, analysis and dealing with imperfections in data.
- Technical background and understanding of reporting, analytics, data management, business intelligence solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data and technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability work and collaborate with key business partners and build strong professional relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated advanced analytical skills and proven problem-solving skills with a high level of critical thinking.
- Passionate about understanding the business and building scalable, repeatable analytics.
