The Utah County Assessor's office is responsible for classifying all property in the county; in cooperation with the Recorder's office, associate ownership with the property; establishing a taxable value for all property subject to property taxation; and compiling this information into reports that are utilized by the Auditor's office to calculate tax rates and the Treasurer's office for collections. Position: Personal Property Processor
Posting #: 3502-0326sr The Opportunity: Under general guidance and direction of the Personal Property Supervisor, performs essential work related to personal property assessment. Receives and processes personal property filings, provides public assistance, and verifies compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Starting Pay: Grade 719 $21.72 - $24.95 Hourly Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of work experience related to taxation, accounting, real estate, or a similar profession. Preferred Candidates Will Possess Some Of The Below Attributes: Preference may be given to applicants with Associate's degree or higher. Preference may be given to applicants with work experience in assessing. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Applicants must obtain designation as Ad Valorem Personal Property with the Utah State Tax Commission within two (2) years of employment. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver's license within sixty (60) days of employment. Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
