
Assistant Director of Student Transition Programs (Dual Credit)

* Serves as primary point of contact for Islander Academy Dual Credit Program for high school students.* Facilitates ongoing contractual (MOU) negotiation, development, dissemination, and maintenance related to the Islander Academy Dual Credit Program.* Establishes and carries out timelines for program operations and communicates with school liaisons, course instructors, satellite campus and departmental staff, and other campus departments.* Coordinates with Academic Affairs for course offerings and anticipated student enrollment; ensures timely and accurate course registrations each semester.* Provides administrative support for program planning and execution of events, including trainings, scheduling, course builds, preparation of event materials, payment of invoices, and other financial support.* Maintains accurate and detailed records of correspondence and student data in adherence with FERPA guidelines.* Provides administrative functions and office support to ensure success and growth in High School Programs.* Performs other tasks as assigned based on partner requests and program evolution.* Communicates with key constituents at partner high schools to ensure a clear point of contact and superior experience in their partnership with the University.* Collaborates with Academic Affairs, Admissions, Advising, and the Registrar to ensure smooth entry of dual enrollment students, including application, admission, ongoing academic counseling, and registration.* Coordinates Islander Academy Orientation to provide ease of entry and facilitation of services for Islander Academy participants.* Works with school district administrators to identify areas of growth and expand dual enrollment program opportunities for students.* Coordinates with school partners to identify, advise, and register students for semester coursework.* Conducts presentations to students, parents, and families as needed to promote Islander Academy opportunities.* Support campus recruitment and admissions events for all student populations.* Perform other tasks as assigned based on partner requests and program evolution.* Bachelor’s degree* Six (6) years of experience in admissions, student engagement, recruitment, higher or secondary education, or related field.* Additional education may be considered as a substitute for the minimum experience requirement:
+ Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience in admissions, student engagement, recruitment, higher or secondary education, or related field.
+ Doctorate degree and two (2) years of experience in admissions, student engagement, recruitment, higher or secondary education, or related field.* Proficiency in Microsoft suite, and typical modern computer programs* Excellent organizational skills* Ability to travel for recruitment purposes and work non-traditional hours.* Strong public speaking and customer service skills.* Master’s Degree in Education, Communications, or Business.* Experience working with dual enrollment programs and College Transfer Students.* Familiarity with Banner Student Information System or Customer Relationship Management software.* Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) or Optional Retirement Plan (ORP)* Voluntary Tax Deferred Account/Deferred Compensation PlanAgain, welcome and thank you for your interest.
