About Us Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing facility committed to providing compassionate care and enhancing the lives of our residents. We are seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary services and ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the individual needs of our residents.
Position Summary The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dietary department, including meal planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring residents receive meals that support their health and well-being.
Key Responsbilites:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the preparation and service of meals in accordance with physician orders, resident preferences, and dietary guidelines.
Ensure meals meet nutritional standards and are served in a timely and appealing manner.
Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
Manage food and supply inventory, ordering as needed while staying within budget.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including sanitation, food handling, and documentation requirements.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and quality.
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
Qualifications
Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of clinical nutrition, menu planning, and regulatory requirements.
ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
