
Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a
Junior to Mid‑Level CAD Drafter / Mechanical Designer
to support our production and manufacturing workflow. This role is heavily focused on
technical drafting, shop drawing accuracy, and design revisions , working closely with a sr. drafter as well as cross‑functional
sales and project management teams .
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented drafter who enjoys ownership over their work and wants to contribute meaningfully within a
stable, family‑owned organization .
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and review
2D shop drawings
using AutoCAD
Translate architectural plans, sketches, and redlines into
clear, build‑ready drawings
Revise drawings efficiently based on internal and external feedback
Maintain drawing standards, accuracy, and proper version control
Assist with material take‑offs
and documentation to support manufacturing
Partner with sales and project management to ensure drawings align with project scope and timelines
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of drafting experience
bckgrnd in construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
strongly preferred
Solid understanding of construction documents and technical drawings
Ability to work independently from markups, sketches, and established drafting standards
Proficient in
AutoCAD
and familiar with
3D design tools
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
Experience with
SolidWorks , mechanical drafting, and sheet metal design
Familiarity with
steel fabrication and structural/metal components
Exposure to Revit, SketchUp, and MPanel
is a plus
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset
