HR Compliance Specialist

The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and employment compliance standards across domestic and international operations. This role manages regulatory reporting, monitors workplace safety programs, oversees workers' compensation processes, and ensures compliance with housing and international labor requirements. The position collaborates with HR, operations, and management teams to maintain compliance, and documentation, as well as conducting regular audits on various reports. Attention to detail is a MUST. Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance reporting spreadsheets and documents. Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with regulatory requirements. Conduct internal compliance audits and recommend corrective actions. Maintain compliance records and prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Workers' Compensation Administration Manage workers' compensation claims from incident reporting through resolution. Coordinate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and employees to ensure timely processing of claims. Track workplace injuries, maintain claim records, and assist with return-to-work programs. Identify trends and recommend preventive measures to reduce workplace injuries. OSHA & Workplace Safety Compliance Prepare and maintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation. Generate and submit OSHA compliance reports and maintain injury/illness records. Partner with safety teams to ensure workplace safety programs meet regulatory requirements. Support safety training initiatives and assist with incident investigations. International Labor Compliance Monitor labor regulations for international employees and ensure compliance with local employment laws. Assist with documentation, policies, and reporting requirements for international workforce compliance. Coordinate with legal advisors and global HR teams regarding regulatory updates and employment standards. Housing Compliance Ensure company-provided or employer-supported housing meets applicable housing regulations and standards. Monitor housing policies related to employee accommodations and occupancy requirements. Maintain housing compliance documentation and conduct periodic audits where applicable. Reporting & Documentation Prepare compliance reports for leadership, regulatory agencies, and audits. Maintain accurate employee compliance records and regulatory documentation. Track regulatory updates and communicate changes to HR leadership and management. Training & Policy Support Assist in developing and delivering compliance-related training programs. Educate managers and employees on HR compliance standards, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements. Support implementation of company policies related to labor compliance and safety regulations. Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or related fields. Related experience over degree will be considered. Experience 35 years of experience in HR compliance, employment law, workplace safety, or related HR function. Experience with workers' compensation administration and OSHA compliance reporting preferred. Experience supporting international labor compliance and housing compliance programs is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and workplace safety regulations. Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and OSHA reporting requirements. Familiarity with international labor standards and employment regulations. Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to HR policies and practices. Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to review documentation and use computer systems for reporting and compliance tracking. Able to work throughout the resort as needed in all weather conditions Bend, reach, lift under 30lbs, climb step up stool as needed EOE M/D/F/V
