Experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

The well-respected Chicago law firm of Goldberg Kohn is looking for a full-time commercial real estate paralegal to support our busy and sophisticated real estate practice. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting attorneys in preparing transactional documents; preparing UCC filings; preparing financing statements, releases and transfer documents; reviewing and analyzing real estate surveys and title commitments, policies and underlying title documents; ensuring that all pre-closing preparation and post-closing follow-up is properly completed in a timely manner; creating, composing, and editing written material such as transaction documents, closing documents, loan documents, correspondence and/or other legal documentation. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic, a high level of accuracy, flexibility and adaptability, and strong technical ability. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies, at least three years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Goldberg Kohn offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes a very flexible hybrid schedule with limited time required in the office on occasion.
