Overview

The Marketing Communications Outreach Coordinator supports the Raleigh Parks Marketing and Communications team by identifying outreach opportunities and assisting with engagement initiatives that promote Raleigh Parks programs, events, services, and communication campaigns. Duties include coordination of the Raleigh Parks Marketing Ambassador program, scheduling and coordinating photography sessions, and managing the department’s digital asset library. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working both behind the scenes and in the community, and is comfortable managing logistics, people, and multiple projects at once. This role offers the opportunity to connect directly with the community, shape outreach strategies, and play a key role in promoting programs that enhance quality of life in Raleigh. Responsibilities

Analyze outreach and engagement data to identify gaps and research new outreach opportunities with local businesses, community organizations, and events Prepare and manage outreach materials and event supplies (including loading/unloading and inventory tracking) Schedule and coordinate Marketing Ambassadors for internal and external events and serve as the primary liaison Coordinate photographers, organize and tag photo assets, and maintain a searchable digital asset library for staff use Represent Raleigh Parks at community events as needed Assist with training and meeting planning for Marketing Ambassadors and serve as a point of contact and support for ambassadors in the field Qualifications

Organized with strong attention to detail Outgoing and professional personality Affinity for technology and systems (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, or digital asset management tools) Ability to multitask and keep track of complex schedules Strong written and oral communication skills Pursuing or obtained a 4-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field or equivalent experience Logistics

This position is part-time and up to 20 hours per week, with occasional weekend and night hours. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a City of Raleigh driving permit are required.
