Job Summary The Public Relations Coordinator will conduct prevention program services focused on the Media and Training Prevention Core requirements. This position acts as an advocate and marketer of the PRC program to community organizations, non-profits, government agencies, and other clinical entities. This position provides information about substance use to the general community and help track substance use problems. The position coordinates trainings, acts as a Texas School Survey advocate, supports community programs and tobacco prevention activities. The Public Relations Coordinator will also connect people with community resources related to drug and alcohol use.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Formulate a plan to increase marketing and participation in regional survey data collection and reporting processes. Set and obtain program goals and objectives to include active involvement with community leaders and school management. Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures and funding sources regulations.

Identify local community and regional partners to collect and share data and data resources to assist in development of RNA.

Develop media messages and conduct regional surveys to determine the type of media activities that will be conducted to promote statewide messages as per SOW.

Ensure adherence and completion of all funding agency measures and outcomes.

Assist in compiling data, Midyear report information, documentation, and other Key Performance Measures for submission to Program Director. Ensure local community, county, and regional data resources are collected, provided and shared to enhance and maximize collection and support for repository efforts.

Provide technical assistance to community partners to achieve a broader understanding of the PRC mission in the community.

Participate in agency-wide activities as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization in furthering its mission.

Identify local community, county, and regional training needs and resources.

Maintain good work habits through timeliness and low absenteeism. Be punctual; take initiative to identify and analyze problems and generate alternatives.

Respond to all communication from both internal and external sources in a timely manner. Carry out any and all other assignments to meet the goals and objectives of Aliviane Inc. Understand, accept, implement and promote Aliviane Inc. Mission Statement, program/department goals, philosophy and objectives; serve as a role model for employees, clients and community partners.

Keeps abreast of relevant knowledge about drug use and its effects, social attitudes and laws; review current literature and developments in the drug use field and represent the agency by speaking in public forums on drug use/abuse, prevention.

Required/Preferred Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in social and behavioral sciences or related field from a regionally accredited college/university and two (2) years' work experience in one or more of these disciplines.

Associate degree in social and behavioral science or related field from a regionally accredited college/university and four (4) years' work experience in one of these disciplines.

Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.

Have designation of CPS or APS or achieve APS designation within 20 months of employment working towards a CPS.
