Job Summary The Public Relations Coordinator will conduct prevention program services focused on Media and Training. The role acts as an advocate and marketer of the PRC program to community organizations, non‑profits, government agencies, and other clinical entities, providing information about substance use to the general community and helping track substance use problems. The coordinator will also organize trainings, advocate for Texas School Survey, support community programs and tobacco prevention activities, and connect people with community resources related to drug and alcohol use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Formulate a plan to increase marketing and participation in regional survey data collection and reporting processes.

Set and obtain program goals and objectives, including active involvement with community leaders and school management.

Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, funding sources, and regulations.

Identify local community and regional partners to collect and share data resources.

Develop media messages and conduct regional surveys to promote statewide messages per SOW.

Ensure adherence to and completion of all funding agency measures and outcomes.

Assist in compiling data, mid‑year report information, documentation, and other performance measures for submission to the Program Director.

Provide technical assistance to community partners to enhance understanding of the PRC mission.

Participate in agency‑wide activities to meet organizational goals and objectives.

Identify local community, county, and regional training needs and resources.

Maintain good work habits, punctuality, and low absenteeism; take initiative, identify and analyze problems, and generate alternative solutions.

Respond to all communication from internal and external sources in a timely manner.

Serve as a role model for employees, clients, and community partners; promote Aliviane Inc. mission and values.

Keep abreast of knowledge about drug use and related laws, current literature, and represent the agency in public forums.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences or related field from a regionally accredited college/university plus two (2) years of work experience in one or more relevant disciplines.

Associate degree in social and behavioral science or related field from a regionally accredited college/university plus four (4) years of work experience.

Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.

Designation of CPS or APS or achieve APS designation within 20 months of employment.
