Role / Job Description Nearwater Capital is a rapidly growing and innovative specialty finance company headquartered in New York City with a global business and client base, with offices in New York, London and Dublin. Nearwater’s Risk Retention business is focused on providing asset-backed securitization sponsors (ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS) with financing for their retained risk retention interests in compliance with Dodd-Frank and EU/UK Securitization Regulation requirements.

Support the Risk Retention team in the execution of financing transactions across multiple securitization asset classes (ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS)

Prepare marketing materials and presentations for client meetings with global investment and PE firms, managers and sponsors

Develop cash flow models of financing terms and structure for client review

Work with legal and operations to coordinate all aspects of transaction financing including the review of transaction terms and related governing documents

Maintain a database of ongoing transaction exposure; prepare daily management reporting

Maintain an up-to-date pipeline database of prospective and current clients

Monitor upcoming securitization market activity and any relevant market trends

Learn and interact with Nearwater’s team members, products, and business practices

Participate in client dialog to support the Origination and client coverage process

Skills and Experience

Finance, Economics, or Business Management are preferred major fields

Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Strong quantitative and technical abilities

Solid work ethic and passion to learn and grow

Must be a self-starter and have ability to work independently

Ability to multi-task and work with numerous colleagues in a fast-paced environment

Ideal candidate will be a recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience in structured finance and/or securitized products with emphasis on structuring or capital raising activities.
