Title:

Art Therapist (Director of Recreation)

Responsibilities The Director of Recreation creates and leads the recreational program with activities, hobby & interest building, physical activities, and events throughout the year. In our holistic approach, recreation is one facet of the wellness of our clients, along with behavioral skill building, medication support, dietary teaching, and pre-vocational training. The overall goal is to support clients to create lives worth living and be successful as independents in their community.

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor’s degree as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.

Must be registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.

Must have a valid California driver’s license.

A current CPR certification is preferred.

Must have two (2) years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one year of which was full-time in a client activities program in a healthcare setting.

About the Campus Crestwood Champion Healing Center is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) located in Lompoc, a beautiful Central Coast city in Santa Barbara County, known as "The City of Arts and Flowers." Champion Healing Center has innovative trauma-informed recovery programs that are based on Crestwood's commitment to providing a continuum of care that puts persons served with significant mental health issues on the road to recovery.

Compensation The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.
