Required Related Experience: 5 yrs

Required License/Registration/Certification: Massage Therapy License in the State of KY

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, must be able to perform massage in 90 minute sessions or less.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Job Summary: The Massage Therapist/UKHC conducts brief assessments of all new massage therapy clients and documents findings. Provides safe, effective and appropriate massage services to clients based on individual and health‑related needs. Perform health history and updates prior to each session. Ascertain precautions/contraindications for massage prior to each session. Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to clients’ needs and preferences. Develop massage therapy program for growth.

Perform all duties in a manner which reflect UK Healthcare’s mission and values.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Specialty certifications/trainings for specialty areas, Microsoft Office

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? : No

Preferred Education/Experience: Prefer experience and certifications in additional Integrative Medicine modalities such as Massage Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, etc.
