About the Role:
We are seeking a
Licensed Customs Broker
with strong experience and a personable approach to manage import and export compliance for our organization. This is an
on-site role , based in Elk Grove Village, IL. The ideal candidate will ensure shipments clear customs efficiently while maintaining excellent client and team interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit
customs entries, declarations, and documentation
for imports and exports.
Calculate and arrange
duties, tariffs, and taxes
on imported and exported goods.
Ensure compliance with
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
and other relevant agencies.
Advise clients and internal teams on
import/export regulations and requirements .
Maintain accurate
records and files
for customs reporting and audits.
Coordinate with
freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies
to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
Monitor and update knowledge of
changes in customs laws, trade agreements, and regulations .
Assist in resolving any
customs-related issues or disputes .
Requirements
Valid
U.S. Customs Broker License .
5–10 years of experience
in customs brokerage.
CW (Customs Warehouse) experience
required.
Strong knowledge of
import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance .
Excellent
attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills .
Effective
communication skills
for coordinating with clients, carriers, and government officials.
Proficiency in
customs software and MS Office applications .
