
Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer (Path to Regional Sales Manager)
This is a
hybrid technical sales role
designed for someone who wants to bridge engineering and sales, with a clear path into a
Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
position within 1–3 years.
You’ll partner closely with an experienced RSM, acting as the
technical expert and customer-facing resource , while also contributing to new business development and account growth across a multi-state territory.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support the RSM in driving
new business and expanding existing accounts
Act as the
technical point of contact
for customers throughout the sales process
Assist in
lead generation and prospecting efforts
across manufacturing and fabrication companies
Conduct customer meetings, demos, and on-site visits
Work with decision-makers ranging from
engineers to ownership/leadership (CEO/President)
Help manage and grow a territory that includes
small shops to large manufacturers
Travel regularly (approx.
60% ) across TN/KY and surrounding regions

larger territory and full sales ownership

product management or leadership roles
Compensation
OTE:
$150K – $175K (uncapped)
Additional
year-end bonus
(~$3.5K–$5K average)
Tiered incentives for exceeding quota

What They’re Looking For
5+ years of
technical and/or sales experience
within manufacturing or machine tools
Background in
fabrication equipment, laser cutting, tube bending, or similar technologies
is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a
technical field or business
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Someone who is
coachable, team-oriented, and comfortable in front of customers
