Description
We are looking for an experienced healthcare finance specialist to lead and oversee the accounting operations of our organization. This role is ideal for a skilled leader with a strong background in financial management and supervisory experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Director of Accounting / Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor accounting processes using tools such as BlackLine, Workday ERP, and Workday Financial Management.
- Coordinate and support financial audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all reporting.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and maintaining high performance.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry financial regulations and standards.
- Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and financial decision-making.
- Manage and optimize payroll processes using systems like UKG Pro.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting systems and processes to align with organizational goals.
The salary range for this position is $156,000 to $249,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including leadership positions.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing accounting teams.
- Proven expertise in month-end close processes and financial audits.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry financial standards and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Workday ERP, Workday Financial Management, and BlackLine.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable financial insights.
