We are working with a well-established real estate development and construction group seeking an experienced
Construction Superintendent
to support large-scale
ground-up multifamily and mixed-use residential projects
in Somerset County, New Jersey, with additional projects in the pipeline.
About the Role This role will work closely with project management and field leadership teams to ensure quality, safety, schedule adherence, and smooth day-to-day site operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination
Manage project schedules, look-aheads, and sequencing of trades
Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and submittals
Coordinate inspections, RFIs, punch lists, and turnover activities
Maintain daily reports, site logs, and progress updates
Work collaboratively with project managers, assistant project managers, and additional field leadership staff
Identify and resolve jobsite issues proactively
Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Superintendent on
ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or large residential construction projects
Strong experience with field coordination and subcontractor management
Ability to read plans and construction documents
Experience with construction management software such as
Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
