
Regional Director, West (Veterinary)

The Regional Director is responsible for leading the operational, financial, and customer experience performance of PetIQ’s Veterinary Community Clinics within an assigned region. This role provides strategic direction, drives operational excellence, and ensures alignment with PetIQ’s mission, values, and brand promise. The Regional Director partners closely with field leadership and executive teams to achieve revenue growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional service delivery across all clinics in the region. Travel is required up to 50% to support leadership development, operational oversight, and business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop, Field Operations Managers, and Field Leaders.
Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and performance-manage regional leadership teams.
Provide clear direction, mentorship, and real-time guidance on operational and personnel matters.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
Ensure consistent implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices across all regional clinics.
Systematize workflows to drive efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Oversee the opening, relocation, and closure of field offices and clinics as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance clinic performance and customer experience.
Financial & Business Performance
Analyze regional financial statements, sales reports, productivity metrics, and operational KPIs.
Drive revenue growth through trend analysis and strategic sales planning.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
Provide performance insights and strategic recommendations to the Senior Operations Director – Services Operations
Develop and execute regional goals, strategies, and operating plans aligned with corporate objectives.
Communication & Cross-Functional Partnership
Maintain consistent communication with field offices through in-person visits, phone, and digital channels.
Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives and business goals.
Clearly communicate company priorities, performance expectations, and professional standards throughout the region.
Champion and model PetIQ’s core values and brand promise in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience, preferably in multi-site operations.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
Demonstrated success leading multi-site operational teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
Independent decision-making capabilities.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Operations, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within veterinary services, healthcare, retail, or other service-based environments.
Strong knowledge of business and management principles.
Working knowledge of human resources and accounting principles.
Financial acumen and data-driven decision-making capability.
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift 150 pounds assisted and up to 50 pounds unassisted.
