Lerch, Early & Brewer, a full-service law firm located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a
Collections Paralegal
to join our
Community Associations Practice Group . This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, professional environment while supporting a well-established practice. Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Minimum of three (3) years of collections experience , preferably in
Community Associations law
within a
law firm setting Proven ability to manage a
large, deadline-driven caseload
with minimal supervision Experience handling
high-volume collections matters
from referral through resolution, including communication with homeowners and property managers Familiarity with
Maryland collections procedures
and applicable
debt collection laws and regulations , including liens, judgments, and garnishments Experience tracking accounts, payments, and deadlines using a
case management system Ability to accurately calculate balances, interest, late fees, and attorneys’ fees Demonstrated proficiency in preparing
legal correspondence and pleadings Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to grammar, tone, punctuation, and spelling Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, and Outlook) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to
prioritize multiple assignments
and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work
independently
as well as collaboratively with attorneys and staff Bilingual English/Spanish
preferred, but not required In addition, candidates must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
