A well-established general contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator with strong experience in commercial construction and high-end residential projects. This role is dedicated to estimating and preconstruction, supporting multi-million-dollar builds from concept through final bid. If you are a detail-oriented construction estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on complex, high-value projects, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and accurate cost estimates for large-scale construction projects Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure complete project scope coverage Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids Develop project budgets, cost breakdowns, and value engineering solutions Collaborate with project managers and internal teams during preconstruction phases Maintain organized estimating files, bid documentation, and historical cost data Participate in bid reviews and respond to technical and pricing inquiries Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in construction estimating Proven track record estimating multi-million-dollar commercial and luxury residential projects Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously Technical Skills Experience with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk, Smartsheet) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Education Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits Full-time direct hire opportunity Health insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Environment Monday to Friday On-site role in Ventura, CA (commutable distance required)
