Business Development Consultant – 3PL Warehousing Job Summary:
The Business Development Consultant is responsible for driving new business growth for 3PL warehouse services by identifying prospective clients, developing customized logistics solutions, and building long-term partnerships. This role focuses on expanding the company’s customer base in warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and value-added logistics services.
Key Responsibilities: Identify, target, and secure new clients requiring 3PL warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services
Develop tailored logistics solutions based on client supply chain needs (storage, pick/pack, shipping, inventory management)
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in industries such as retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, and consumer goods
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies
Generate and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract closure
Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to design efficient and cost-effective solutions
Prepare proposals, RFP responses, and pricing models for prospective clients
Lead contract negotiations and onboarding of new customers
Monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, client acquisition, and retention rates
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting within 3PL, logistics, or warehousing
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain processes
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office
