Bayonet is looking for a senior business development leader to drive new client growth across the Midwest. This is a pure hunter role with the autonomy to build your own pipeline, develop meaningful relationships, and bring in high-quality commercial work.

Bayonet is an Emmy-winning production company creating high-concept commercials, branded content, and films for brands like Salesforce, Jim Beam, FedEx, AT&T , and more. Alongside our sister company, Chop Shop, we offer full-service production and post—from editorial to VFX and finishing.

The Role
This role is focused on new business development and relationship building.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities with agencies and direct-to-client marketing teams. You’ll act as the face of Bayonet in your market, building trust and long-term partnerships.
You’ll work closely with our Executive Producers and creative teams, but your primary responsibility is simple: bring in great work.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute your own outreach strategy across Midwest markets
Build and maintain relationships with agencies and brand-side marketing teams
Identify new opportunities and convert them into active projects
Lead early-stage conversations and position Bayonet’s creative capabilities
Partner with EPs, directors, and producers during the bid process
Own the client relationship from first conversation through long-term partnership
Represent Bayonet in meetings, pitches, and industry interactions
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record in business development, ideally within a marketing agency or commercial production environment
Strong existing network of agency and/or brand-side relationships (highly preferred)
A true self-starter—proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating without rigid structure
Ability to build trust quickly and develop long-term client relationshipsStrong communication and interpersonal instincts
Understanding of the commercial production and/or agency landscape
Production experience is a plus, but not required.
Compensation
Uncapped commission on all work brought in
Ongoing commission tied to client relationships while employed
This role is designed for someone who wants to build a book of business and be rewarded for it long-term.
