ResponsibilitiesAs an Director of Wireline Telecommunications, you are responsible for overseeing a business unit in the construction of telecommunications infrastructure and buried and aerial cable placement to meet customer expectations and designated timelines. And you’re up for the challenge.In addition, you will:Develop positive business relationships to diagnose and understand current and potential customer needsLead and direct business unit operations staff in the effective and safe execution of projectsEstablish clear and frequent channels of communication with the customersManage team to meet budgets and schedules, and ensure customer satisfactionGenerate and control revenues and costs to deliver a profit to MasTec, with ultimate P&L responsibility for the business unitMake staffing decisions, train new employees, and develop employee performancePrepare and present detailed construction cost estimates and documentationPerform other duties as required and/or assignedQualificationsAbout You:You have a track record of completing work with a high level of qualityYou have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your workHave a bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study. (Or equivalent work history)Have 10 years of total relevant experience, including previous supervisory experienceExperienced in managing divisional or department budgetsExperienced in managing projects to completionPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsHave strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and upper managementHard work pays off.
