Overview
Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) – Port Chester, NY 10573. You will work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate is
$17.00 to $18.00
depending on skills and experience.
Paid training is provided, including live hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
Part-time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
Role Requirements
Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours are typically between
9–11 hours
per week.
Availability during the week before and after major holidays (which may include weekends) is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers). The role includes three major components:
Day-to-day engagement:
Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology for day-to-day work, communication with your supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and surveys for merchandising activities. Professional, courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers are essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
Holiday support:
Seasonal demand around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas may require additional days and extended hours. Some holidays may involve working on the holiday itself, which may include weekends.
Department Resets:
You may work on teams responsible for installations and tasks such as building/installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.
One Team Vision:
You are part of a network of merchandisers that may support other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms and must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You may be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and ascend stairs or ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Able to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi-Fi network and the Internet.
Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
