Baltimore, United States | Posted on 03/25/2026 Immediate openings – Qualified candidates will be contacted within 24–48 hours Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Corrugated Packaging Designer responsible for creating, developing, and refining structural packaging solutions that meet customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and industry standards. This role collaborates closely with sales, production, and customer service to deliver accurate layouts, samples, and specifications. Experience Level: Associate Experience Required: 3 Years Job Function: Engineering Industry: Packaging and Containers Compensation: Green (See chart in benefits section) Total Positions: 1 Relocation Assistance: Limited assistance Requirements Key Responsibilities Design & Drafting Create 2D structural drawings using CAD (ArtiosCAD or equivalent) Modify designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability Develop samples for customer approval Coordinate artwork with tooling vendors and graphic teams Material & Specification Expertise Select board grades (ECT, Mullen, flute profiles) for durability and cost efficiency Prepare detailed manufacturing specifications Production & Tooling Support Ensure designs align with production equipment (flexo, die cutter, gluer) Manage tooling inventory, repairs, and inspections Estimate tooling costs and rule requirements Translate customer needs into packaging solutions Support presentations, demos, and technical discussions Provide prototypes and sample solutions Documentation & Quality Maintain design records, revisions, and specifications Ensure compliance with quality and industry standards Must-Have Proficiency in ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software Strong knowledge of corrugated materials, flutes, board grades, and stacking strength Associate degree in Packaging, Engineering, Industrial Design, CAD Drafting, or related field 2+ years of corrugated packaging or manufacturing experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with Kongsberg or digital cutting tables Knowledge of flexographic printing Familiarity with TOPS or packaging performance standards Adobe Illustrator or graphic design knowledge Our client offers a competitive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, and overall well-being.
