About the Role
Seeking a Temporary User Researcher to support product teams by planning and executing user research that helps inform product strategy and experience decisions. This is a temporary, project-based role. The successful candidate will deliver research insights and recommendations in collaboration with stakeholders, while maintaining appropriate independence and professional judgment consistent with a temporary engagement.
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, diary studies, usability testing) based on defined project needs
Develop research plans, screeners, discussion guides, and study materials aligned to project objectives
Analyze findings, synthesize themes, and produce clear, actionable insights and recommendations
Communicate results through written reports, readouts, and concise stakeholder-facing deliverables
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g., Product, Design, Data Science) to ensure research outputs are understood and applied
Use AI‑enabled tools responsibly to accelerate workflow where appropriate (e.g., transcription support, summarization, thematic analysis support), while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and research rigor
Manage timelines and deliverables for assigned projects and provide regular status updates
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of experience conducting user research (industry, agency, or consulting experience acceptable)
Demonstrated experience selecting appropriate methods and executing end‑to‑end research from planning through synthesis and presentation
Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate research into actionable product recommendations
AI tool fluency (e.g., experience using AI‑assisted tools to support research workflows such as synthesis, summarization, or analysis), with sound judgment and attention to quality control
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver against deadlines
