Overview This hybrid role requires working from our headquarters in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remotely on all other days. As a Communications Coordinator, you’ll use storytelling to drive awareness of the Redfin mission, our technology, and everything that sets Redfin apart. You will also support the team by maintaining and improving essential administrative tasks. Responsibilities Track, catalog and analyze both Redfin coverage and competitor coverage while optimizing processes for accuracy and efficiency Draft press releases and pitch Redfin reports to local media outlets Draft press briefing documents for spokespeople Research how the media covers housing, including insights for the rental market Keep the team updated on relevant industry events, emerging media platforms and more Update media lists and identify new reporters to pitch Skills & Experience 1-2 years of full-time PR or communications experience Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field Highly organized with experience tracking coverage and creating reports Experience working with reporters and drafting effective pitches Creative thinker and strong communicator who reads the news and understands what’s newsworthy Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Boolean searches, and Tableau is a plus What We Offer Mission-driven work and the opportunity to influence the real estate industry Collaboration with a team of engineers and real estate professionals Competitive compensation with salary, bonuses, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package Hybrid work flexibility with Seattle HQ presence two days a week Strong startup culture with catered lunches, casual dress code, and team events based on location, eligible candidates: Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Colorado, New York City, New Jersey, Jersey City, California, D.C. and Washington may have different ranges. Base Pay Range: $27.84 - 41.68. The position may be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other benefits including medical, dental, and vision, 401K retirement plan, and paid time off. More information regarding benefits will be provided during the recruitment process. The information regarding compensation and benefits is an estimate and may be revised at the Company’s sole discretion. The Company may determine that compensation and benefits should be reduced.
