Senior Business Analyst

Summary: The IT Business Analyst acts as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, documenting processes, analyzing data, and ensuring that technology solutions meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities Partner with business units to understand needs, pain points, and process gaps. Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications. Work closely with developers, QA, project managers, and SMEs to ensure accurate solution delivery. Create workflow diagrams, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Facilitate requirements workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Support application implementations, enhancements, and upgrades (UAT, training, documentation). Assist in evaluating new technologies, tools, and systems. Provide ongoing support to end users, including troubleshooting and triaging issues. Ensure solutions align with business goals, compliance requirements, and IT best practices. Required Skills & Experience 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid). Experience writing user stories, requirements documents, and use cases. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Proficiency with process mapping and workflow tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro). Strong data analysis skills (SQL, Excel, BI tools optional depending on org). Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills. Experience supporting software implementations or system integrations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems). Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, and system architecture basics. BA/BS in Information Systems, Business, or related field. Certifications: CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum. *The pay range for this position is $36 to $50/hr W2.
