Director of Strategic Sourcing
Overview Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing and packaging space, is seeking a
Director of Strategic Sourcing
to lead enterprise-wide procurement initiatives across a diverse category portfolio including MRO, capital equipment, services, and transportation. This individual will drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction, strengthen supplier partnerships, and align sourcing strategies with broader business objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Execution Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives to deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining quality and service levels Develop and execute category strategies across a broad spend portfolio Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with operational and business needs Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation and value creation Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members, ensuring strong performance and career progression Build a high-performing team through coaching, engagement, and succession planning Establish clear goals, reporting cadence, and accountability across the function Supplier Management & Negotiation Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to drive long-term value Lead complex negotiations, including contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements Drive supplier performance, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives Financial & Operational Impact Develop and deliver annual savings targets through strategic sourcing initiatives Drive working capital improvements and cost optimization strategies Forecast, track, and report on procurement performance and value delivery Ensure alignment of procurement activities with financial plans and business objectives Qualifications 7+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience Experience within a structured, mature procurement environment Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills Experience in a global or multi-site organization preferred Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Culture & Work Environment Innovation-driven organization focused on

$206,300 – $257,900
(may vary based on experience and location) Annual bonus eligibility;
