The Senior Risk Mitigation Vetting Specialist serves as an advanced subject‑matter expert within the Risk Mitigation team, responsible for overseeing complex vetting workflows, third‑party data integrity, system audits, and regulatory monitoring across the network. While the role includes hands‑on operational responsibilities, it is fundamentally strategic, continuously evaluating vetting processes, identifying systemic gaps, and developing more efficient and effective workflows. The specialist partners cross‑functionally to improve vetting systems, influence operational enhancements, and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all platforms. The Senior Specialist supports audit readiness, drives process improvements, and helps prioritize vetting strategy while maintaining alignment with Care.com’s safety and quality standards. Lead complex and high‑risk vetting reviews, applying advanced risk‑based judgment Apply final risk determinations for complex cases in alignment with established eligibility frameworks Oversee third‑party license verification systems, including QA audits and discrepancy resolution Identify systemic data integrity issues and drive cross‑functional solutions with Product and vendors Evaluate and optimize AI‑enabled tools and automated workflows to strengthen risk detection and data accuracy Collaborate with Product and technical teams to enhance AI‑driven risk and moderation tools Conduct multi‑system audits to ensure consistency across CRM, verification tools, and client‑facing platforms Monitor regulatory updates and interpret licensing changes that impact network compliance Establish monthly vetting priorities and support workload calibration in partnership with leadership Maintain and improve audit documentation, workflows, and training materials Serve as an escalation resource and subject‑matter expert for the Vetting team Lead or support operational improvement initiatives and special projects Required Skills

Strong analytical and investigative skills with advanced risk‑based judgment Ability to identify systemic gaps and drive scalable solutions Experience working with regulatory, compliance, or credentialing frameworks Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and Salesforce (or similar CRM systems) Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills Ability to operate independently, prioritize strategically, and manage ambiguity Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and solutions‑focused mindset For a list of our perks and benefits, click here! Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short‑ and long‑term incentives.
