Risk Mitigation Vetting Specialist The Risk Mitigation Vetting Specialist is responsible for executing initial and periodic risk-based vetting of network providers, including childcare agencies, agency caregivers, daycare centers, family childcare centers, and adult care agencies. This role conducts continuous monitoring of the network, identifies and escalates safety, compliance, and reputational risks, and applies established vetting criteria to support network eligibility decisions. The specialist ensures ongoing alignment with Care.com’s quality and safety standards through proactive oversight, documentation, and escalation management.

Key Responsibilities

Perform initial and periodic licensing and compliance checks

Manage updates in third‑party license verification systems and resolve discrepancies

Conduct annual online reputational checks on providers and caregivers

Verify annual business license and insurance compliance

Research government and third‑party sources to confirm safety and regulatory compliance

Monitor alerts and feedback to identify risks and initiate escalations

Coordinate escalation remediation with providers through resolution

Apply pass/fail criteria and assess risk to support eligibility decisions

Maintain accurate vetting records in Salesforce (CRM) to support audit readiness

Utilize AI‑enabled tools and automated systems to support vetting reviews and data validation

Monitor quality, accuracy, and efficiency standards

Participate in time studies and process improvement efforts

Track regulatory updates and apply changes to vetting workflows

Maintain vetting calendars and prioritize new and renewing providers

Prepare and share vetting status and network health updates

Support updates to training materials and assist with team training

Required Skills

Strong critical thinking and investigative skills

Sound judgment, problem‑solving skills, and appropriate escalation awareness

Comfort handling sensitive information and making consistent decisions

Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to work independently within established guidelines

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Google Workspace

Experience with Salesforce or similar systems preferred

Adaptable, collaborative, and detail‑oriented mindset

Salary Range: $20/ph - $21/ph. The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short‑and‑long‑term incentives.
