Job Description
As Category Lead - Downstream Logistics you will transform the global Category strategies into a Sourcing Strategy on a regional and/or global level to deliver sustainable value and competitive differentiation for Philips.
Your role:
Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contracts by setting clear targets and conducting regular business review meetings with key suppliers.
Establish and oversee a robust pipeline of procurement (cost) and demand (volume) initiatives.
Lead program management for the execution of funnel initiatives, ensuring alignment with business units, markets, and functions.
Plan and implement supply base optimization strategies, including developing negotiation roadmaps with suppliers using advanced methodologies such as game theory and scalable e-sourcing tools.
Design and develop supply base strategies, including playbooks, to effectively guide and standardize supplier management practices.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar roles.
Proven expertise in strategic sourcing within logistics categories, including warehousing and road transportation. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, global supplier relationships at senior and executive levels. Strong track record of delivering outstanding negotiation outcomes through innovative and creative strategies.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent qualification.
Hands-on experience with advanced sourcing tools and platforms.
Self-driven professional with strong networking, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior leadership both internally and externally.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in Nashville is $154,000 to $246,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
