Director, Cyber Defense

Sony is seeking a **Director, Cyber Defense** to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for protecting the organization through worldclass detection, incident response, and cyber defense engineering. Reporting to the Senior Director, Cyber Defense, this role is accountable for operational execution of cyber defense strategy across assigned Sony Group Companies (SGCs). This position blends strategic leadership with hands onpeople leadership, and the ability to communicate cyber risk clearly to business and executive stakeholders. operational accountability, including oversight of security monitoring, incident response, detection engineering, and security technology enablement. 7+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams in cyber defense, security operations, or security engineering.Demonstrated experience leading highseverity incidents and crisis response.Ability to clearly communicate complex technical topics to nontechnical and executive stakeholders.Experience leading distributed or globally dispersed teams. **Preferred Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Handson experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and security analytics platforms.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Experience with Agile or modern delivery and operating models. *The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $220,000 to $240,000. In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 22%.
