A Social Services Director cares deeply about the psychological, social, and spiritual needs of residents. They are an advocate, a counselor, a friend, and a liaison between families, their loved ones, and clinical teams.

Responsibilities and Purpose
Identify each resident’s social, emotional and psychological needs.
Develop and carry out a plan to develop the residents’ full potential during their stay.
Plan for the resident’s discharge or transition to another care environment.
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in social work or in human services (including sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, gerontology, psychology, etc).
Certificate for Oklahoma-approved Social Services training program.
1+ years of supervised social work experience in a healthcare setting working directly with individuals.
1+ years or work in a skilled nursing facility, hospice, or long-term acute care.
Knowledge of federal and state guidelines.
