General Description The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing the public image of igus, Inc. This role involves developing and executing PR strategies, creating compelling content, and building strong relationships with media outlets and industry influencers. Additionally, the Public Relations Specialist will play a key role in company branding and corporate campaigns, manage the PR agency, and oversee the project management of the paid media plan.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute public relations and communications strategies that support igus, Inc.’s brand, positioning, and business objectives.

Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR communications.

Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers across relevant business and trade media.

Coordinate media interviews and other PR-related activities.

Monitor media coverage and social media channels; report on performance, reach, and impact.

Manage company social media channels with the Digital Marketing Manager, including content planning, posting, engagement, and performance analysis.

Ensure consistent messaging across PR, social media, advertising, and other marketing channels in collaboration with internal teams.

Support the development, execution, and tracking of company branding initiatives.

Leverage existing media relationships and proactively develop new contacts within business and industry media.

Analyze PR, social, and paid media results and communicate insights to stakeholders on a regular cadence.

Own and manage the relationship with the external Marketing Agency, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Oversee project management of igus, Inc.’s paid media and advertising plan, coordinating with digital marketing, creative, leadership teams, and external partners.

Own and lead PR-related igus programs, coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure consistent, effective execution.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in public relations or communications; B2B manufacturing or technical industry experience preferred.

Experience managing professional social media accounts and coordinating paid or third‑party advertising.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into clear messaging.

Demonstrated ability to manage agencies, vendors, and external partners.

Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and execution.

Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
