Under the general supervision of a Tax Administrator I, the Senior Tax Compliance Representative (STCR) in the Tax Processing and Accounting Division’s (TPAD), Contribution Rate Group (CRG) assists the manager in planning, organizing and directing the activities of the UI Benefit Charge processes, including providing technical expertise and support to staff and performing in a lead capacity. The STCR uses a high degree of judgment and extensive knowledge of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC), Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, precedent decisions, protests/petitions/hearings procedures, principles of evidence pertaining to benefit charges and hearing procedures, statutes, and regulations to prepare responses to employer’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefit charge protests and petitions as well as to represent the Employment Development Department (EDD) at hearings. All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification should be included in your application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet the MQs for this position.
