Contractor Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for local builders and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and accurate project quotes.

Project Estimation: Interpret blueprints and building plans to prepare material "take‑offs" for stud‑framed and post‑frame buildings, metal roofing projects and general construction projects.

Create Contractor Profile: Create customized profiles on contractors to ensure accuracy in orders and ensure that contractors receive their preferred materials (fasteners/nails/screws/ etc.).

Order Processing: Manage the full sales cycle in the POS system, including tracking deposits, approvals, and selection selections.

Technical Consultation: Provide expert guidance on Summertown Metals’ specific product lines, including metal gauges, trim, and post‑frame shell packages.

Walk‑in & Call Log Management: Manage the sales floor schedule and respond to customer inquiries in the call log within 48 hours.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of proven sales experience; background in construction or building materials is preferred.

Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the building needs and contractor network in North Alabama/Hayden area.

Technical Literacy: Proficiency with CRM tools, email, and computer‑based estimating systems.

Customer Excellence: Strong communication and follow‑up skills with a "customer‑first" attitude.

Availability: Ability to work full‑time hours (typically Mon–Fri, 7 AM – 5 PM) at the Hayden, AL facility.
