About the Role As a Senior Copywriter, you’ll be part of a nimble creative team for a California-based retail account. You’ll be responsible for delivering primarily social media creative that speaks the language of trends and culture fluently, and can help drive brand awareness, shift perception, and produce results. Reporting directly into a Creative Director, you’ll work with a talented team of conceptual creatives, makers, content creators, strategists, and account services to see creative development through from ideation to execution. The ideal candidate will be decisive, capable of bringing a wide range of options and thinking under tight deadlines with a high caliber of craft.
Responsibilities
Creative conception, ideation, and brainstorming in both English and Spanish with other team members
Execution and production of final creative assets like static digital ads and video content
Participating in client meetings, presenting your own work in both English and Spanish, and listening to and ingesting client feedback
Contributing to the storytelling of presentation decks and key visuals
Providing a POV and guidance during the internal and external production of video assets, including attending shoots, preparing pre-production materials, capturing social content, and digital motion and animation content
Assisting with the execution of primarily social ad campaigns, with the ability to flex into traditional advertising and other digital marketing asks as necessary
Organizing and managing creative product in collaboration with Project Managers
Tracking and reporting weekly hours to help ensure projects and managed properly
The Essentials
Must have 6‑10 years of experience as a copywriter in a conceptual role, preferably in an agency environment
Must be LA-based or within a commutable distance
Must have fluency in both English and Spanish language, with the ability to concept, write, converse, and present in both languages
Must be fluent in creative and productivity tools including generative AI platforms and Google Suite (especially Google Slides)
Must be able to ideate and execute with a high caliber of craft, in such a way that exhibits a mastery of copywriting and conceptual ideation
Must be self‑motivated, and able to provide a breadth and depth of creative options that demonstrates a strong understanding of strategic and business goals as a response to briefs
Must be curious, dependable, and flexible, and capable of driving work forward with minimal supervision
Must be self‑motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently to successfully manage concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment
Must be willing to receive and process constructive feedback, and action it thoughtfully with a solutions‑oriented mindset
Not a Must, but a Plus
Knowledge and experience working in Figma
Prior experience working on retail clients is a plus
Experience creating both paid and organic social creative is strongly preferred
Experience working in a nimble content creation environment is strongly preferred
