As a Yard Porter with WCTractor, you will play an important role in customers' first impression of your assigned location maintaining the cleanliness and order of equipment inventory and facilities. You will work closely with your store manager and spend your days maintaining the facilities as well as moving equipment and displays throughout the store. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment inventory using the wash rack and/or wiping down equipment as needed Performing general yard maintenance as needed including mowing and edging grass Performing general maintenance duties in the shop, store and surrounding yard Running errands Other duties as assigned Yard Porter Qualifications
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal Ability to complete assigned tasks within a defined time frame Ability to operate (or learn to operate) a 6,0008,000 lb. all-terrain forklift and agricultural, turf, and light construction equipment Ability to strap (or learn to strap) equipment to trailers as needed Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in a shop and outdoor setting; weekend availability may be required Must be able to manage job-related stress and interact effectively with coworkers and customers Must maintain a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record; may be required to maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and applicable certifications for operating material handling equipment Travel between locations may be required Physical Requirements: Must be able to continually lift and handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Must be able to tolerate temperature shifts inherent to a shop environment and work outdoors in all weather conditions Position regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, and transporting materials or parts, up to OSHA limits
