Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Outside Sales Engineer to join our team to focus on consulting engineers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, solving problems, and selling engineered solutions. You will identify customer needs, engineer HVAC and mechanical system solutions, and manage the sales process from concept to close.
Key Responsibilities · Develop and maintain strong relationships through office visits, site visits, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns. · Serve as a trusted advisor by deeply understanding customer businesses and offering tailored solutions. · Drive new and repeat business by creating and managing opportunities in CRM. · Coordinate project bids, pricing strategies, and deliverables with internal team members. · Handle negotiations for pricing, scope, and terms of equipment sales. · Collaborate with the Inside Sales team to ensure accurate documentation, submittals, and release of equipment. · Keep clients informed on order status, shipping timelines, and service needs. · Participate in trade shows, training events, and factory seminars to stay current with industry trends and products.
Skills & Qualifications · Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience · Strong verbal communication and customer service skills. · Proven ability to explain technical products to both technical and non-technical audiences. · High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. · Technical aptitude to apply engineering concepts to sales. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. · Valid driver’s license required.
Education & Experience B.S. in Mechanical Engineering HVAC Sales experience is a required Chiller and Air Handling sales experience
Physical Requirements · Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. · Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. · Must be able to travel locally and regionally to meet clients.

Compensation - Base Salary (Draw): $85,000 – $110,000 annually Commission: Performance-based, reconciled against the monthly draw
