Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on
Director of Human Resources & Training
to lead HR operations, workforce development, and training initiatives across the organization. This role sits at the leadership table, partnering directly with executive leadership to align people strategy with business growth, workforce planning, and operational excellence. You’ll oversee HR, Talent Acquisition, and Training functions while driving compliance, culture, and performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Strategy Partner with executive leadership to shape HR and workforce strategy Align hiring, training, and retention initiatives with business goals Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational planning and decision-making HR Operations Oversight Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management processes Provide guidance on employee relations, compliance, and risk mitigation Training & Workforce Development Oversee training programs and workforce readiness initiatives Ensure compliance with NCCER and DOL standards Drive program effectiveness and continuous improvement Systems & Data (Workday) Oversee Workday (HRIS, ATS, LMS) functionality and optimization Partner with internal teams on system enhancements and reporting Use data to guide workforce planning and executive insights Policy, Compliance & Governance Lead HR policy development and employee handbook updates Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry standards Budget & Financial Oversight Manage HR and training budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation Culture & Engagement Drive initiatives that support a strong, inclusive workplace culture Partner with leadership to improve engagement and retention
Qualifications xsgimln
Required: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Strong knowledge of employment law and HR operations Experience partnering with executive leadership
Preferred: Experience in construction, skilled trades, or industrial environments Familiarity with NCCER or apprenticeship programs Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems
