Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication to discuss outstanding balances and payment options Negotiate payment plans and resolve account issues Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities in compliance with company policies and federal regulations Provide high-quality customer service while addressing inquiries and concerns Utilize skip tracing tools to locate hard-to-reach customers
Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with active listening ability Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally Strong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and reliable Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts Basic computer proficiency
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred) 0–1 year of experience in collections, customer service, or a related field (financial/credit industry preferred) Experience with CRM systems, collections software, and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of debt collection laws and compliance standards is a plus Must be able to obtain required collection license upon hire
