This opportunity is ideal for a Technical Training Author / Instructional Designer who thrives on developing engaging, high-quality training content for automotive technicians. In this role, you will design and deliver training across a wide range of automotive systems, including electric vehicles (EV), diagnostics, powertrain, and ADAS technologies. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical stakeholders, and a creative training team to produce forward-thinking learning solutions that blend technical accuracy with instructional creativity. What You’ll Gain Inclusive and collaborative work environment Exposure to cutting-edge automotive technologies, including EV and ADAS Opportunity to contribute to next-generation technical training programs A culture that values innovation, growth, and continuous improvement Key Responsibilities End-to-End Training Development Develop automotive technical training across multiple delivery formats, including: Instructor-led training (ILT) E-learning modules (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) Microlearning content Quick reference guides and job aids E-books and digital courses Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather technical content Capture reference images and photos in a vehicle garage environment as needed Instructional Design & Media Development Create detailed storyboards and polished video scripts Design engaging learning experiences using graphics, audio, video, and interactivity Develop simulations, drag-and-drop activities, and layered interactive elements Integrate voiceovers, transitions, and multimedia components Quality, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner closely with SMEs, technical teams, and fellow instructional designers Incorporate feedback and manage iterative revisions Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements Stay current with emerging learning technologies and design trends Support training initiatives such as Train-the-Trainer programs and curriculum updates Tools & Platforms Articulate Storyline (required) Rise 360 (required) Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, etc.) Required Qualifications Candidates must meet

of the following profiles: Profile A – Instructional Design Focus Strong portfolio showcasing complex, interactive Storyline development (required) Experience building advanced interactivity (triggers, simulations, layered graphics, etc.) Background in technical or adjacent training environments (preferred) Ability to conduct SME interviews and document detailed information Strong writing skills and understanding of learning objectives Profile B – Automotive / Technical Focus Solid automotive or mechanical background (education or hands-on experience) Strong technical aptitude, including familiarity with tools, vehicle systems, or diagnostics Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to quickly learn instructional design tools and software Soft Skills Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Comfortable asking questions and constructively challenging SMEs Open to feedback and able to apply it effectively Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Collaborative team player Pre-Qualification Requirements Portfolio required for candidates with instructional design experience Portfolio must include interactive Storyline work (not basic slide-based courses) Candidates should demonstrate: Technical aptitude (basic familiarity with tools or systems) Ability to conduct SME interviews Strong verbal communication skills Stable work history Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
