Global Mobility Specialist

Location:

Southfield, MI ( Hybrid)

Shift:

1st Shift 8AM-5:00 PM

Duration: 0 12 Month

Pay: $40.00/Hour

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Program Administration & Operations Administer end-to-end global mobility processes for international and domestic relocations, assignments, and permanent transfers. Act as the primary point of contact for relocating employees, providing guidance on policies, timelines, and logistics. Coordinate with HR Business Partners, People Operations, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams.

Vendor & Compliance Coordination

Liaise with relocation vendors, immigration counsel, tax providers, and destination service providers. Coordinate immigration and work authorization processes and track case status. Support tax-related data collection and assignment processes (no tax advisory responsibilities).

Policy & Documentation Support

Ensure consistent application of global mobility policies and flag exceptions when needed. Prepare and manage assignment letters, relocation agreements, and cost estimates. Maintain accurate records in HRIS and mobility tracking systems.

Financial & Reporting Support

Track mobility-related expenses and assist with cost reconciliation. Support reporting on mobility activities and compliance status.

Employee Experience

Provide high-quality support to relocating employees and managers. Communicate clearly and empathetically on time-sensitive matters.

Qualifications (Requirements):

Bachelors degree in Chemistry (03 years experience) OR Bachelors with 816 chemistry credits 135 years of experience in global mobility, international HR, or employee relocation. Working knowledge of immigration, relocation, and global assignment processes. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Experience working with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting mobility programs across multiple regions. Familiarity with HRIS and mobility tracking systems (e.g., Workday, SAP). Experience in transition environments such as carve-outs or standalone company builds.
