Overview Red Bull New York (RBNY) is one of 30 MLS teams and one of the league’s ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY competes in MLS. The First Team plays home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ, and the Second Team plays at Montclair State University. RBNY is owned by Red Bull GmbH. The First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters’ Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion; the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates a premier youth soccer development program with partnerships across New York and New Jersey. The Academy is ranked among the top development organizations in the country. Internship Purpose The Summer 2026 Marketing Internship offers hands-on experience in brand strategy, content creation, and campaign execution that powers marketing and growth within the Red Bull New York Youth Programs. The internship is designed for individuals interested in learning how marketing drives participation, engagement, and growth across a large-scale youth sports organization. Participants will learn how marketing functions operationally by connecting campaigns, technology, and program delivery to drive participation and revenue. Duration and How You’ll Work The internship runs from May 20 through the end of July and provides exposure to multiple areas of the business, including program marketing systems, campaign execution, digital communications, partnerships, and event promotion. The intern typically works in person up to three days per week, with occasional evening or weekend availability required to support events and on-site content capture. Important Notices This is an unpaid, for credit internship only (proof that you will receive credit is required). Responsibilities Content Creation & Storytelling – plan, capture, and develop engaging content (photo, video, and written) highlighting programs, players, and events across digital platforms. Campaign Planning & Execution – assist in building and executing marketing campaigns for camps, clinics, and player pathway programs, including email, social media, and on-site activations. Brand & Messaging Strategy – understand how a professional sports organization communicates its value to parents, players, and clubs, and how consistent messaging supports growth. Digital Marketing & Performance Tracking – analyze campaign performance (email metrics, social engagement, registrations) and apply insights to improve results. Event Marketing & Activation – support on-site marketing efforts at events, including signage, promotions, content capture, and fan/parent engagement experiences. Cross-Department Collaboration – work with operations, partnerships, and player development teams to align marketing with program delivery and business objectives. Professional Development – develop skills in communication, creativity, accountability, and execution within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Introduction and onboarding within Red Bull New York Youth Programs, including overview of marketing systems, platforms, and program structure. Weekly check-ins (in-person) to review progress, provide feedback, and align on upcoming campaigns and priorities. Hands-on project ownership across content creation, campaign execution, and marketing operations tasks, with an example including ownership of one program/location campaign end-to-end and measurable impact on registration growth. Final presentation summarizing successes and recommendations for improvements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): content output and quality; campaign execution accuracy and timeliness; event branding standards and partnership activation deliverables; contribution to program registration and campaign performance; accuracy and organization of marketing assets, calendars, and reporting dashboards.
