
Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer develops application expertise in the industrial power‑electronics sector, supporting products such as SCR power controllers, transformers, and custom AC/DC power‑control and conversion systems used in critical industrial applications. This role builds strong customer relationships and secures new system projects while coordinating internally to ensure solutions meet technical and performance expectations.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and engineering firms while developing deep application expertise within the assigned industry segment.
Partner with senior leadership to shape product and application strategies that drive growth and support market needs.
Prepare short‑and‑long‑term sales forecasts, present system solutions to customers, and negotiate proposals to secure Purchase Orders and Change Orders.
Lead internal and customer kickoff meetings, enter awarded projects into IFS, and serve as the primary customer liaison throughout project execution.
Coordinate with U.S. and international manufacturing teams to track schedules, monitor project status, support customer visits, and ensure accurate shipping communication.
Participate in design reviews for first‑of‑a‑kind projects and support troubleshooting efforts with engineering and service teams.
Identify service needs, communicate requirements to the Field Service Manager, and follow up on completed projects to drive repeat business.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
Qualifications
5-10 years of sales or project management experience in industrial power equipment
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Electronics Technology
MBA or PMP preferred
Compensation $95,000 - $120,000 + bonus
