Position Summary:
This role serves as the primary point of contact—training and encouraging churches, celebrating impact, and fostering unity across congregations—so local churches are equipped and activated to respond to needs and facilitate gospel ministry to vulnerable populations through local churches through a third-party relationship with CarePortal. This role is ideal for a relational, ministry-minded leader who is comfortable casting vision, inviting participation, and guiding churches from initial interest to active engagement.
Primary Duties
To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients, and ministry partners
Actively lead the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with them, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
Disciples’ employees for the benefit of our ministry partners and clients.
Align team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values
Recruit, train, and equip churches and community champions to utilize the CarePortal platform
Cultivate relationships with community resource partners to strengthen the network
Identify, train, and equip Connecting Churches to serve in areas of highest need
Facilitate technology and process training for agencies & church leaders
Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with churches and community Partners
Identify potential Requesting Agencies and facilitate agency enrollment
Offer training and support of Agency staff and leadership
Maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with Agency Partners
Provide culturally competent orientation and training for new church and Champion partners, serving as their main point of contact when it comes to equipping their leaders and teams to make meaningful connections through the CarePortal network.
Maintain a proficient understanding of how CarePortal works, in part by using it personally to meet and/or coordinate the meeting of requests
Work with Lifeline’s Church Partnerships team in collaborative planning and goal setting
Host and facilitate active community gatherings
Raise awareness and cultivate relationships with community partners to provide resources to strengthen the network in practical ways
Other Duties
Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoption reports or other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.
Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual banquet and anniversary celebrations both international and domestic.
Maintaining good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion.
Representing the Agency in a professional manner in and away from the office.
Maintaining social work license, if required by state.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive Team
All roles at Lifeline are designed to function as a flexible, team-based position. While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee’s training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.
Minimum Requirements Education:
At least two years of experience of undergraduate education or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least 1 year experience in related work, required
Work Environment:
Home office environment (must live in Mississippi). Frequent travel to surrounding counties may be required and around the assigned region on occasion.
