We are seeking a Strategy and Business Development – Senior Staff member to shape the future of our Live Training Systems portfolio and drive growth in a highly competitive environment.
This position will formulate and execute the business strategy for the Live Training Systems for international and domestic markets, including:
Live Training – Next Generation Miles – Force on Force, Force on Target capabilities
Modern, Digital Testing and Training Ranges – “White Sands meets National Training Center”
Integrated Training Environment – ITE – Convergence of live, virtual, and constructive individual through collective and joint / multi‑national Multi‑Domain Operations and Training
Key Responsibilities Identify new growth opportunities, manage the opportunity pipeline, and foster deep customer engagement—both domestically and internationally. Collaborate closely with US agencies, external partners, and international customers described below.

Basic Qualifications
5–7 years of experience with Live Training Systems (LTS)
Experience with competitive source selection processes (industry or government)
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams
Advanced critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide
Proven executive communicator
Solid understanding of DoD budgeting and acquisition processes
Strong customer relationship skills and ability to interpret international customer requirements
Team player who can organize and motivate a diverse group toward common objectives
Desired Skills
Proven “deal closer” – consistent success in delivering projects on schedule and within scope
Recent (1–3 years) prior employment with focused US agencies or Business Development Teams associated with the LockheedMartin Business Units
5–7 years of experience in defense acquisitions (industry or customer side)
Proven track record in business development activities: opportunity qualification, proposal development, campaign execution, and strategic planning
Additional experience in Training, Modeling, or Simulation
5+ years of experience in DoD acquisition management
Direct experience with government source selections and foreign military sales (FMS) programs
Program management experience for LTS programs
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) career field certification(s)
Strong financial planning and budgeting skills
Decisive decision‑making ability
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 – $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
