UniServ Director

NEA-Alaska is seeking two passionate and skilled UniServ Directors to join our team in serving more than 10,000 educators and education support professionals across the state. One position will be based out of the Anchorage Regional Office and the other will report to the Mat-Su office in Palmer. Both positions play a vital role in supporting local affiliates, strengthening member engagement, and advancing public education. The role involves meaningful statewide work, and extensive travel is required for each position. UniServ Directors will serve as a key labor relations consultants for NEA-Alaska and local associations—supporting contract negotiations and enforcement, organizing efforts, leadership development, and membership growth. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, experience working with labor or professional organizations, and the ability to develop collective power to achieve organizational goals. Additional qualifications such as coalition building, fiscal policy understanding, bargaining experience, and rights representation will strengthen an applicant’s candidacy. Individuals with public education and/or Special Education backgrounds are encouraged to apply. NEA-Alaska offers a competitive salary range of $94,031–$108,852 DOE , with placement determined by the NEA-Alaska/NSO-Alaska collective bargaining agreement.
