Overview Amazon Web Services is seeking a results-driven Industry Marketing Manager to spearhead the development of our customer and events marketing strategy aligned to financial services, represented our owned events and industry sponsorships. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive measurable business outcomes by reaching existing and new customers across the industry. This role owns the overall event strategy for our most important events and customer engagement activities, working at the center of a cross-functional team to launch and complete these events. The person will partner with internal teams such as product marketing, field marketing, business development, solutions architecture, sales, and event logistics. Strong project management skills are essential to manage pre-event communication, event planning, and post-event follow-up to optimize lead generation opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively at all levels, and can operate with global stakeholders. Key job responsibilities Strategic Event Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain an events roadmap that integrates with marketing and organizational goals. Project Management: Oversee all aspects of events, supported by the AWS Events Team. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. Tactical Excellence: Maintain attention to detail while managing the broad strategic vision and ensure flawless execution of event-related activities. Data-Driven Reporting: Deliver comprehensive post-event reports with analysis of opportunities developed and influenced, including attribution to understand impact on lead generation and conversion. Materials Packaging: Coordinate design, production, and distribution of event materials aligned with brand standards. Continuous Improvement: Use feedback and analytics to recommend and implement improvements for future events and innovations in how we present the brand and engage the audience. Customer Advocacy: Deliver relevant case studies, guide customer speakers, manage abstracts for calls for speakers, and maintain relationships with organizations to position AWS preferred customer speakers at events. Basic Qualifications 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages Preferred Qualifications Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
